GAVLAK

For almost a decade, Austin Gavlak has been a dynamic force in the global music scene, leaving an indelible mark with electrifying performances that transcend borders and genres.

Austin's musical journey began in Vail,CO where he founded and produced Powabunga Festival, a blend of his two passions - snowsports and music. In 2019 he made the move to Aspen, where the eclectic atmosphere allowed him to hone his craft, shaping his unique sound that would later echo across the globe.

It’s also the birthplace of his passion project Buckhorn Social Club, a ski community focused project that pops up a handful of times between Aspen and the Alps. Their renegade gatherings take place in stunning natural locations like mountain tops and defunct silver mines.

A globetrotter at heart, Austin is fascinated with cultural cross-pollination. He has taken his music to new heights over the past couple years, playing shows in some of the world's most iconic venues in Berlin, NYC, LA, St. Barths, Saint-Tropez, Mexico City, Paris, Milan, Egypt and Black Rock City.

He has shared stages with many of his heroes including Rufus du Sol, James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Black Coffee, Parallelle, Jimi Jules, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Polo and Pan, Chambord, Monolink, Bob Moses, Blondish and many more. He’s passionate about leaving audiences in awe with his infectious energy and seamless mixes that are a blend of something new and bits of nostalgia. Austin’s musical curiosity crafts sets that blend genres seamlessly, creating a musical journey that captivates audiences and keeps them on their feet. From house beats to indie dance selects, Austin weaves a tapestry of sound that is as diverse as the global audience he commands.

In addition to his electrifying performances, Austin has been instrumental in shaping the music scene beyond the DJ booth. He played a pivotal role in the opening of the Snow Lodge, a venue that has become synonymous with cutting-edge music experiences in Aspen. His influence extended to the acclaimed Surf Lodge, where he served as a music supervisor, helping curate talent that complemented the laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere of the Hamptons hotspot.

Last spring he launched his newest festival project, AHABAJA, in San Jose Del Cabo that showcased an eclectic mix of his favorite artists from around the world, and was recognized by Rolling Stone for its musical curation and art programs.

As Austin celebrates another epic year in the industry, his passion for music and radically unique experience burns brighter than ever.
